Note
|
Vilate dressed up as an Indian for Pioneer Days celebrations. She told pioneer stories in an Indian tent in Liberty Park, Salt Lake City, Utah. Vilate was very good at story telling and at writing. She loved to enter contests where she would have to tell "in20 words or less" why a product was so wonderful. She won a fur coat and a car and a radio among other things with her contest cleverness. This information is from her sister, Susie Schofield Tew.Vilate also wrote the Sacrament hymn,"Upon the Cross of Calvary". |
