Philadelphia Inquirer, April 7, 1898:
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa., April 6. -- The remains of Alfred Mowers, who was killed a few days ago on the railroad near Steelton, arrived here today. The funeral took place from the Church of God this afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. C. I. Behney, interment was made in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Mowers was formerly a resident of this place.
