the 1860 Federal Census for Jacksonville is quite illegible. However, it is indicated there that John Davis was born in Ireland and was a shoemaker. His wife, Fannie was also born in Illinois. Their children are listed as Sarah Ann, born about 1854 and Robert R. born about 1858, both in California. |
